Charlie’s Trading Company Limited was established in New Zealand in 1999 by three honest friends who were talking one day about juice. They thought it all tasted processed, unnatural and was generally undrinkable. Juice was a subject close to the heart of these three. So putting their money where their collective mouth was, Stefan, Marc and Simon started making juice and the brand Charlie’s was created.
In 2007, the company acquired the iconic New Zealand made Phoenix Organic drinks company. Phoenix Organic drinks was started in 1986 with the mission of providing a premium natural alternative that is made from certified organic goody goodness with love & respect for the people and for the world we live in. Charlie’s and Phoenix the principle brands of the company, are household names in Australasia. A recent addition to the brand portfolio is Juicy Lucy, a chilled juice brand sold in supermarkets and to the foodservice industry.
Today, Charlie’s Trading Company is based in New Zealand with production sites in New Zealand & Australia, manufacturing and marketing a range of premium ‘not from concentrate’ and organic beverages. We are a significant player in both the NZ and Australian beverage markets, and increasingly in South East Asia.
